Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC [4] of the European Parliament and the Council of May 17, 2006, forms the basis for the development of slings and for the verification of the required levels of safety. All slings have a fixed rope loop which is secured so that it cannot come loose.

PFEIFER lifting loop LSF for insertion into formwork This consists of an anchor approved for permanent fixing in concrete and a cover plate. The LSF is installed flush-mounted in the formwork prior to concreting.

Requirements

Proof of sufficient carrying capacity of the lifting device in connection with the shaft ceiling (thickness, reinforcement and load transfer) must be demonstrated by a responsible planner. Moreover, the where-installed and where-used lists supplied with the product must be observed.

PFEIFER lifting loop LSG for through-type mounting

This consists of a through-type element. The sling LSG is used after concreting, e.g. if renovation work is required. For the assembly, a hole must be completely drilled through the ceiling in the elevator shaft. The anchor is pushed through from below and then fully mounted.

Proof of sufficient carrying capacity of the lifting device in connection with the shaft ceiling (thickness,reinforcement and load transfer) must be demonstrated by a responsible planner. Moreover, the where-installedand where-used lists supplied with the product must be observed.

Proofs for concrete and steel Calculatory proof of the metallic safelies is not sufficient in order to prove a conclusive safety concept for load hooks. Many fastening points available on the market supply precisely this proof alone, however, and stop at the transition to the concrete structure.

However, it is frequently precisely the anchorage in the concrete that is the critical point. Here two standard worlds have to be combined and the global safelies proven. ln all cases this is guaranteed in the case of PFEIFER products using anchoring means approved by the building authoritles.

This consists of one anchoring element. The LSP is used after concreting, e.g. if renovation work is required. It is attached to the ceiling from below using newly affixed dowels. A drilled hole/recess must be created in a suitable place on the underside of the shaft ceiling to enable the sinking in of the case which protrudes from the back.

This consists of an anchor approved for permanent fixing in concrete and a protective box. The LSV is installed flush-mounted in the formwork prior to concreting. The box is then easily nailed to the formwork and opened following concreting so that the sling can be folded out.

Features: Without any perforation of the formwork

PFEIFER load eye for the temporary attachment of loads

Approvals

PFEIFER lifting eyes are attachment points for the temporary attachment of material loads during assembly or maintenance work. They are intended to be used for the flat installation in ceilings made of reinforced concrete. The attachement points can be used either for the temporary attachement of material loads or for personal safety equipment. It is not permitted to use for both purposes simultaneously.
